Experience Matters
My studio training began at LA Film School, where I studied in the Film Science Associate of Arts program. There, I built a strong technical foundation in production workflows, camera systems, audio, lighting, and post-production. The program emphasized both the creative and technical sides of filmmaking, giving me early exposure to industry-standard tools, professional set environments, and disciplined production processes.
Following my formal training, I worked as an AV Technician in a nightclub environment, where I gained real-world experience operating and troubleshooting professional audio and visual systems in live, high-pressure settings. In this role, I was responsible for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, managing live sound using a 16-channel mixing board, and properly mic’ing performers and instruments to deliver a polished, professional live show. This experience sharpened my ability to think quickly, adapt on the fly, and maintain system reliability during live events.
I later transitioned into studio-based and immersive production at My Studio Montrose, a fully equipped green screen and virtual production studio. There, I worked hands-on with VR systems, Blackmagic DeckLink hardware, and Blackmagic Ultimatte for real-time compositing. I supported live virtual productions using Unreal Engine, helping integrate real-time environments with green screen talent for broadcast-ready results.
In addition to visual production, I supported professional audio workflows, including podcast production in a fully equipped studio using Pro Tools. I also operated the Blackmagic ATEM system, including my own Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro, for live podcast shooting, switching, and real-time chroma keying—experience that strengthened my understanding of live production pipelines from capture through delivery.
Alongside studio work, I am trained and certified across a wide range of professional camera systems, including Blackmagic, Sony, Panasonic, ARRI, RED, Fuji, and Atomos. I am highly proficient in working with professional and RAW camera formats such as Blackmagic RAW, RED RAW, Sony RAW, and Panasonic/LUMIX RAW. Using DaVinci Resolve, I build professional color grading and transcoding pipelines to deliver content in required color standards, including ACES and Rec.709.
Together, these experiences have shaped me into a well-rounded technical professional—equally comfortable in live AV environments, studio production, and post-production pipelines—capable of bridging creative vision with reliable, technically sound execution.
